Our Mission

TheLegalCalc provides free, state-specific legal calculators for all 50 U.S. states. Our goal is to help people understand legal and financial scenarios before speaking with counsel.

Our Calculators

TheLegalCalc includes 27 calculators across employment, family law, personal injury, civil, and tax topics. Each calculator is available with state-aware context and legal assumptions for all 50 U.S. states.

How Our Research Works

Our team researches federal and state laws, citing primary sources including U.S. Code, the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), state statutes, court rules, and agency guidance.

Content is maintained by TheLegalCalc Editorial Team and reviewed against current legal sources before publication and during scheduled updates.

Calculators are reviewed monthly for rate changes and annually for statutory updates.
